It is said that you have to start with what you are passionate about, that way, your actions will have a lasting impact. It was passion and Ubuntu that drove our team, split into platoons of highly spirited, very handy caring personalities from Westside FM on International Mandela Day this previous weekend.
Souring eagles from all corners of Westside FM sprung out and left their personality mode back at the station and became one with the community. As International Mandela Day was celebrated globally, back at home it was business as usual -just more in numbers, streets filled with joy of loud speakers on the streets (playing “bring back Nelson Mandela) and the vibrant local forums and NPOs going an extra mile to share uTata’s legacy.
We would love to take this opportunity to thank the community at large for the invites- we so wish we could attend all them for the globally celebrated day. A warm thank you especially the team from Cancervive, SAPS, Randfontein Hospital, Ous Avril Lebo, Bra Condry Ziqubu for also amplifying our fight againts drug abuse that is looming over the next generations’ bright future. We say it goes beyond 67 minutes, re mmogo.
Here’s an #InstaWest wall from all hands on deck..
